Though I am employed, I am unable to repay my student loans. After twenty-two years of marriage I found myself alone with two eleven year olds and a two year old. With only an eighth grade education I returned to school and graduated with a 3.68 GPA. I will openly admit that I worked while attending school but could not pay the bills. I used part of the loans to pay the rent and utilities.
I am still alone but two of the children are on their own. While I work and manage to pay the monthly expenses, I could not give $10.00 a month towards the bills and do not see that changing in the future. I am scared. It is like a huge boulder teetering on the edge of a cliff just above my life.
Thank you for any consideration or even information on how to get through this.
